SV raises funds, celebrates Raiderthon

Students and staff support Miracle League of SWPA

Student clubs host activities at Seneca Valley's Raiderthon

Congratulations to the Seneca Valley Senior High School Student Council and all who supported this year’s Raiderthon! SV celebrated school spirit and heartwarming community contributions in a BIG way! 

Between raffle baskets, donations and a GoFundMe page, the even raised over $10,300 for the Miracle League of Southwestern PA (SWPA).

“Raiderthon was an amazing night where everyone made a difference simply by showing up, having fun and supporting Miracle League,” said SV Senior High School Student Council President Lucy Meyer. “Seeing our community come together for a good cause while supporting all our clubs and sports is something to be proud of.”

From club-run carnival booths and face painting to karaoke and a staff vs. student basketball game, the event buzzed with excitement! Congratulations to the student basketball team for winning 55-50! Special shoutout to Miss Kinsley Pournaras for coordinating the basketball game.

“I am proud to make this my senior project and continue the tradition of the third annual staff vs. student basketball game,” said Miss Pournaras. “I want to thank the student and staff teams for playing in this event. Also, a big thank you to Mrs. Mutschler and the student council for all the help and support and for letting me be part of Raiderthon.”  

Over the last 11 years, Seneca Valley students have raised over $120,000 for the Miracle League of SWPA.
