Bring on the Cake!
Consumer Foods classes completed a Cake Lab to practice their baking skills. Students made meringue cookies so that they could learn how to separate eggs, learn the different peaks, and fix an overbeaten meringue. Students also learned to properly prep a variety of types of cake pans, prevent cracks in cheesecakes, check for cake doneness, and use an icing bag and tips. They did a great job!
