Career Day
Haine Middle School celebrated careers during our annual Career Exploration Day on Thursday, March 16. The goal of Career Exploration Day is to enlighten students about the numerous career opportunities available to them in their futures and to introduce them to some of the skills.
Career Exploration Day is an interactive experience that allows students in grades 5 and 6 to learn about a variety of different occupations and/or professions found in the world of work. Haine Middle School parents and Cranberry Township community members represented various occupations and professions representing all of the 16 U.S. Department of Education Career Clusters. Presenters conducted classroom presentations conveying some of the duties of their occupations or professions to the students. The activities encouraged our students to begin the process of career exploration through helping them see the relationship between their interests, subjects they are now studying, and various career requirements.
