SV Divers have strong showing at WPIAL's as three qualify for PIAA meet
Last Saturday was an exciting day for Seneca Valley diving! The girls came out strong and stayed strong against tough competition. After three rounds of diving, Kenzie Clark finished in 4th place, advancing her to the PIAA State Championships. Ashley Felitsky finished 9th, Meghan Keppler finished 10th, and Rylie Smith finished 11th in an impressive showing for SV.
The boys, after celebrating for the girls, jumped right in - with Trevor Elliott leading the way, supported by Matthew Laslavic, Sam Skeen and Jeremiah Laslavic. All advanced to the final three dives amidst a field of exceptional divers. After dive #11, Elliott finished in 2nd place overall and Matthew Laslavic finished in 5th place, earning them both a trip to the PIAA State Championships next month. Jeremiah Laslavic and Skeen did very well, finishing in 15th and 16th place respectively. Overall, the SV lady divers contributed 37 points and the boys contributed 34 points to the Seneca Valley Swim and Dive Team's points total as the swimmers head for WPIAL’s this Thursday!
