WPIAL Sets 2021 Spring Sports Playoff Picture

With the 2020-21 school year coming to a close, our spring sport student-athletes are set to begin the WPIAL post-season.

BASEBALL:
The Seneca Valley baseball team finished the regular season with an overall record of 11-8-1 and section record of 5-5 earning the #7-seed in the WPIAL 6A playoffs. The Raiders will face #2 seed Norwin (13-3, 7-3) in the opening round on Saturday, May 22nd at Noon at West Mifflin High School. All tickets are $7.00 and will be sold at the gate.

BOYS LACROSSE:
The Raiders boys lacrosse team was granted the #8-seed in the WPIAL post-season. Seneca Valley finished the section with a 5-3 record and overall record of 6-6. They will host #9-seed Canon-McMillan in the opening round of the WPIAL playoffs on Tuesday, May 16th at 6:00pm at Myers Law Group Stadium. All tickets are $7.00 and will be sold at the gate.

TRACK & FIELD:
Both boys and girls track and field teams put together another successful campaign for the 2021 season. The girls just missed qualifying for the WPIAL Team Championships while the boys team finished WPIAL 3A Team Runner-Up. The student-athletes will now shift their focus to the WPIAL 3A Individual Championships on Wednesday, May 19th at 3:00pm at Slippery Rock University. Tickets can be purchased in advanced online at https://gofan.co/app/school/PA68325 or at the main entrance the day of the event. All tickets are $10.00.

BOYS VOLLEYBALL:
The Raiders boys volleyball team has been awarded the #2-seed in the WPIAL 3A championships finishing the regular season with an overall record of 13-2 and section record of 10-2. Seneca Valley will host the #15-seed Armstrong Riverhawks on Tuesday, May 18th at 7:00pm at Seneca Valley Senior High School. Due to indoor restrictions and limitations, no tickets to the public will be sold. Each player on the post-season roster for both teams will be allowed to purchase up to three tickets. Tickets will be $7.00.
