Special delivery

Picking up graduation regalia is just one of many milestones that typically occur for seniors at the end of the school year.

Even during this difficult time, we still wanted to commemorate this tradition, so we asked Seneca Valley K-8 teachers to join in on the fun.

On May 20, K-12 teachers hand-delivered over 575 caps and gowns to senior homes. Teachers enjoyed seeing their former students in person and wishing them well. In addition to delivering regalia, many teachers also brought gifts, balloons and treats to celebrate the soon-to-be graduates!

We thank the many staff, students and parents for providing photos from this wonderful event. We know that social distancing is difficult during this time of celebration; however, we are pleased that this personalized activity could recognize the achievements of our seniors while also being safe.
