SV hires Haine Middle School Principal

At Seneca Valley’s School Board Meeting on Monday, April 3, board members approved the proCD motion of Cassandra Doggrell from assistant principal to principal at Haine Middle School, Cranberry Township.

Ms. Doggrell has been serving as the assistant principal for Evans City and Haine Middle Schools since 2014, and fills the principal role now as former Principal Dan DiDesiderio took an administrative position in the Fox Chapel Area School District last month.

A Tarentum resident, Ms. Doggrell has been working in the Seneca Valley School District since 2010, first working as an elementary autism support teacher at Rowan Elementary School. She also has teaching experience in the Highlands School District, where she served in both elementary and secondary positions.

Ms. Doggrell earned her Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education/Early Childhood Education from Grove City College in Grove City, Pa. In addition, she completed her Master’s Degree in Special Education from Waynesburg University and her Master’s Degree in Educational Administration and Supervision from Duquesne University.

“I want to make a difference in education,” Ms. Doggrell explained. “I enjoy working with people, problem-solving and having a larger impact within the educational community.  As principal, I have the ability to improve the quality of instruction and the school experience through building relationships with students, teachers, families, and community members.”
