Reporting Bullying

What is bullying?

Bullying is when someone repeatedly and on purpose says or does mean or hurtful things to another person who has a hard time defending himself/herself. An imbalance of power exists and the behavior extends over time.

Bully Prevention Oath:
  1. We will not bully others.
  2. We will help students who are bullied.
  3. We will include students who are left out.
  4. If we know that someone is being bullied, we will tell an adult at school.

Kindergarten – Grade 4

Students or parents are encouraged to report bullying and/or safety concerns to a school staff member. This may include a school administrator, school counselor, teacher, school nurse, bus driver, cafeteria worker, secretary, paraprofessional, etc.
*We always encourage students to also tell their parents/guardians when they have witnessed or experienced a bullying/safety issue.
