Ms. Darlene Carmack
Director of Food Services
Darlene Carmack, a Pittsburgh native, joined the Seneca Valley School District in June of 2010. Darlene has more than 30 years of customer focused leadership experiences across a broad spectrum of the food service industry. As a School Nutrition Specialist, she directed at Hampton Township School District and additionally, the Dining Services of Gannon University. Ms. Carmack also assisted in North Allegheny’s School Food Service Division.
Additionally, as a professional in the Business and Industry Division of Morrison’s Custom Management, Ms. Carmack managed the Sewall Centerat Robert Morris College, and the Catering Department at Duquesne University. Ms. Carmack also managed the Gateway Café located in downtown Pittsburgh which services the Gateway Center office complex. During this time she received numerous accolades from her employer Metz and Associates: Manager of the Year 1999 and 2008. Ms. Carmack is an active member of the School Nutrition Association of Pa., and the Pittsburgh Regional Food Service Directors Organization.
Ms. Carmack is licensed with a current Serve Safe Certification and a Allegheny County Health Certification. She also holds certificates for School Food Business Management which is certified by the Commonwealth. Ms. Carmack was trained by the United States Air Force in Military Hospitality,in Wiesbaden, Germany.
