Seneca Valley School District is dedicated to providing a quality education and a safe learning environment. Seneca Valley has been using the Olweus Bullying Prevention Program district-wide since the 2009-2010 school year. This research-based program allows students to participate in weekly classroom meetings that incorporate a variety of bullying prevention topics and community building activities.
What is Bullying?
Bullying is when someone repeatedly and on purpose says or does mean or hurtful things to another person who has a hard time defending himself/herself. An imbalance of powerexists and the behavior extends over time.
Bully Prevention Oath:
- We will not bully others.
- We will help students who are bullied.
- We will include students who are left out.
- If we know that someone is being bullied, we will tell an adult at school.
