SV Superintendent Dr. Tracy Vitale named Distinguished Educator
Seneca Valley Superintendent Dr. Tracy Vitale is Tri-State Area School Study Council’s prestigious 2022 Distinguished Educator Award winner.
Dr. Vitale was nominated in a collaborative effort by six of her colleagues. They include:
- Dr. Brian White, Superintendent, Butler Area School District
- Dr. Patrick O'Toole, retired Superintendent of Upper St. Clair School District and Founder/Consultant at SchoolAssist Consulting
- Dr. Regina Hiler, Executive Director, Butler County Area Vocational-Technical School
- Dr. Eric Ritzert, Superintendent, Karns City Area School District
- Dr. David Foley, Superintendent, South Butler County School District
- Dr. Alfonso Angelucc, Superintendent, Slippery Rock Area School District
"Dr. Tracy Vitale is truly an inspirational educational leader. Her passion for doing what’s best for the students she serves is always at the forefront of every decision she makes," said Dr. Brian White, Superintendent of Butler Area School District. "In addition to being an advocate for children, Dr. Vitale is invested in the future growth of the county. Her knowledge and expertise coupled with her passion for serving others make her a true asset to our region."
According to the award profile, this honor was established by the University of Pittsburgh School of Education in 1981. It acknowledges exceptional leadership by practicing administrators, retired educators and university faculty who have proven a commitment to continuously improving district staff who, in turn, allow students to be better prepared to make contributions to the community.
Tri-State Area School Study Council Membership recognized Dr. Vitale during the 73rd Annual School Board and Distinguished Educator Banquet on Thursday, March 3, in Pittsburgh.
