This website provides youth, young adults, parents, and professionals with secondary transition resources to facilitate a young person’s progress towards post-secondary goals related to education, employment, and community living.
The information in this pamphlet, provided by the Office for Civil Rights (OCR) in the U.S. Department of Education, explains the rights and responsibilities of students with disabilities who are preparing to attend post-secondary schools. It also explains the obligations of a post-secondary school to provide academic adjustments, including auxiliary aids and services, to ensure the school does not discriminate on the basis of disability.
This website contains information about living college life with a disability. It's designed for high school students and provides video clips, activities and additional resources that can help students get a head start in planning for college.
