Special Education Services
Elementary: K-6
The four elementary and two 5-6 middle school buildings provide various special education services to meet the needs of all learners in the least restrictive environment. These services include but are not limited to: Autistic Support, Emotional Support, Learning Support, Speech and Language Support, and Life Skills Support. Students with disabilities may receive special education and related services in the general education classroom, or direct instruction and services from a special education teacher in a program-specific classroom if deemed appropriate by their Individualized Education Program (IEP). Services are also contracted through the Midwestern Intermediate Unit IV for: Vision Support, Deaf/Hard of Hearing Support, and Audiological Support.
Middle School: 7-8
The Ryan Gloyer Middle School special education program is designed to meet the individual needs of students with disabilities in the least restrictive environment. The Middle School provides services in general education classrooms as well as direct instruction for those students who require more intense, one-on-one instruction. The IEP team makes the decision regarding the appropriate placement. Services are also contracted through the Midwestern Intermediate Unit IV. These include Vision Support, Deaf/Hard of Hearing Support, and Audiological Support.

The IEP team makes the decision regarding the appropriate placement for a student, whether that is in the general education classroom or in a special education classroom. All members, including the students, are integral in developing the student's individualized education program. Services are also contracted through the Midwestern Intermediate Unit IV. These include: Vision Support, Deaf/Hard of Hearing Support, and Audiological Support.
