Local Task Force
Right to Education MIU IV
What is the Local Task Force?
The Right to Education Local Task Force (LTF) was formed to represent the needs and interests of students with intellectual disabilities and their families on the local level. Today, most LTFs have expanded their efforts to include all students with disabilities. All LTF meetings are open to parents, agency providers, and school professionals who are concerned about the education of students with disabilities. This is a special education support group for parents by parents, serving Butler, Lawrence, and Mercer counties.
You should attend the Local Task Force Meetings if:
- You know of an issue in your district that affects or has the potential to affect a number of students.
- You are a parent or family supporting a student with a disability.
- You are a local service provider.
- You are a school district employee.
- You have a concern regarding the special education system.
- You want to network with family members and professionals.
- You want to share information with the special education community.
