Substitutes (Support Staff)

Substitute Support Staff (Classified, Custodian, Paraprofessional, Cafeteria & Secretary)

Substitute compensation is:

• Custodian/Maintenance - $17/hour
• Paraprofessionals - $14.50/hour
• Cafeteria - $14.25/hour
• Secretaries - $14.50/hour

• Classified Application - Paper form (PDF) - Print out, complete and return to the Human Resources Department  -OR- Classified Application - Electronic form (Word) - May be emailed to substitute@svsd.net 
• Clearances
• Act 24 Arrest & Conviction Form
• Resume
• Three letters of reference
• Obtain a Physical and Tuberculin Test* - download the School Health Personnel Form (School Personnel Health Record) and take with you to your physical - doctor must use this form

*Tuberculin Test must be no older than three months at time of Board approval

BOARD APPROVAL WILL NOT OCCUR UNTIL ALL ITEMS ARE SUBMITTED WITH YOUR SUBSTITUTE PACKET. THIS INCLUDES ALL CLEARANCES AND ACT 168 FORMS.
