Dr. Joel Roth brings a wealth of experience in education, leadership and curriculum development to his new role. Most recently, he has served as Director of Curriculum and Instruction at Hopewell Area School District, where he oversaw all aspects of K-12 curriculum, federal programs, district planning, state testing and professional development. Prior to this role, he was Assistant Principal of Curriculum at Woodstock High School in Georgia, serving a school community of more than 2,300 students and 140 teachers, and also worked as an Instructional Lead Strategist at River Ridge High School. He began his career as a mathematics and business education teacher at River Ridge, where he also coached multiple sports, led curriculum development and earned recognition as Teacher of the Year.
In addition to his K-12 leadership, Dr. Roth serves as an adjunct professor at Geneva College, preparing future educators through coursework in educational assessment. He has also contributed to the field through research and presentations on mathematics education, including published work on instructional strategies that promote student problem solving.
Dr. Roth holds multiple advanced degrees, including a Doctor of Education and Education Specialist in Secondary Education from Kennesaw State University, a Master of Education in Administration and Supervision from Liberty University, and a Master of Arts in Teaching and Learning from Nova Southeastern University. He earned his Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education from Clarion University of Pennsylvania, where he concentrated in mathematics and minored in business administration.
