Diversity and Belonging
We value the background and contributions of our students, faculty, staff and community in making the Seneca Valley community.
Our district promotes diversity and belonging through the classroom curriculum and through Learn, Explore, Act, Develop (LEAD) activities.
Some examples of activities include students reading diverse literature selections in English/Language Arts classes, examples of cultural norms explored in world language classes, our middle level cultural days, and activities that promote belonging in classroom community meetings.
Our diversity committee reviews our progress and invites community voices to contribute to our progress. The district also supports a student diversity committee made up of high school students who desire to increase feelings of belonging and inclusivity in our schools.
