-
To Parents of 7th and 8th graders:
- Feel free to call or email the health office if you have any questions or concerns regarding your child's health while at school.
- Screenings for height, weight and vision will be performed during your child's health or reading class in October or November. You will be notified if there are any concerns.
For 7th grade parents only:- Hearing screenings will take place in late September. You will notified of abnormal findings.
- Dental screenings will be performed in the Health Office in the Spring only if your child has not turned in a dental form, and you have not notified the school nurse of an upcoming private dental appointment. You will notified of abnormal findings.
- Scoliosis screenings will take place in the Spring through your child's PE class. They will be screened individually and with their shirt on to ensure privacy. You will be notified of abnormal results only. If your child already has been diagnosed with Scoliosis you may opt out of the screening by calling the school nurse. If you do not want your child to be screened for scoliosis, you must provide a written statement of refusal and the results of the screening from their primary doctor. Any student who turned in a physical exam form that is dated after June 1, 2019 and clearly shows a scoliosis screening has been performed, will not be screened at the school.
