• Mr. Jeff Widdowson

Jeff Widdowson, a lifelong resident of the Seneca Valley School District (SV ‘70), is serving for the third time as a representative on the school board, this time as the representative of Callery and Harmony Boroughs and Jackson Township, Region 9. Mr. Widdowson previously served Evans City Borough on the board from 1995 – 2003. He then returned in 2004 to complete the remaining term of a member who was moving out of the District. Today, he has over 17 years in board service. He and his wife, Joan, have a combined family of six children who are all Seneca Valley graduates, and one grandchild who currently attends SV.

During his time in the United States Air Force, Mr. Widdowson developed an interest in law enforcement. He later attended and graduated from the Allegheny County Police Academy, and went on to serve as Patrolman, Sergeant and Lieutenant for the Cranberry Township Police Department. He also has specialized training by the FBI in behavior analysis and hostage negotiations. Currently, he is the Safety Director for Parks Moving and Storage/United Van Lines.
Mr. Widdowson has a lifelong investment in this community and the District. He believes strongly in the value of education and providing equal learning opportunities for all students. When the seat became vacant each time, he realized he still had a desire to be involved and chose to seek the position so he could contribute his insights and wealth of knowledge.
