'Pippin' Earns An Incredible 12 Mancini Nominations

Seneca Valley's name was repeated over and over again on Monday when nominations for the 14th Annual Henry Mancini Musical Theatre Awards were announced.

Nearly a clean sweep of all categories, Seneca Valley received a total of 12 nominations.

All nominees will be honored at a special reception on May 14, and the awards of excellence will be presented at a gala celebration on May 21, in Metheny Fieldhouse at Geneva College in Beaver Falls.

The purpose of the Henry Mancini Musical Theatre Awards is to recognize, nurture, and encourage students who achieve excellence in presenting their high school musicals. These Awards of Excellence are affectionately called Henries in honor of Beaver County's most famous musical artist, the late Henry Mancini of Aliquippa. As in recent years, a member of the Mancini family will be in attendance to participate in the awards ceremony.
