During the school year, CompassLearning Odyssey®, the Internet-based language arts, reading and math program, is used to provide extra instructional and learning opportunities to students during the school day. And now, you can do it at home, too.

  1. Check to see if the computer can run the CompassLearning Odyssey program. This is done by going to the login address http://clo.svsd.net. Click the System Requirements button on the Odyssey home page.
  2. Click the Check System button to start the system check. You will see a list of the things you need to download to make the program run from your home.
  3. Click the link(s) provided to download the free plug-ins you need to run Odyssey.
  4. Once the system has loaded the correct programs, you can log into Odyssey using the following information: Odyssey Login Address: http://clo.svsd.net
  5. Parents will have separate accounts for each child attending Seneca Valley K-8 schools. The parent login information uses the following: The username is your child's last name and first initial followed by their grade number. The password is the child's room number in school. The school code is Odyssey. In some cases there may be a slight change to the parent username that may not allow a parent to login successfully. If this happens, contact your child's building for assistance.
  6. You can browse any subject and check your scores using My Portfolio (Backpack). Parents can also access the child's backpack with their own account. The "parent view" can provide an excellent opportunity to share with your child areas that are not recorded as part of the child's performance.
