SV State Ranking Increases
The "Pittsburgh Business Times" has once again published the supplement, "Guide to Western Pennsylvania Schools," and once again Seneca Valley has climbed higher on the list.
The Seneca Valley School District has cracked the Western Pennsylvania Top 20 with a 2008 ranking of 18.
In the state ranking, Seneca Valley climbed from 79 in 2007 to 56 in 2008. That's an increase of 23 in just one year! This list includes the 501 school districts in Pennsylvania.
The rankings include results from all grades that take the Pennsylvania System of School Assessment (PSSA) exams, grades 3-8, and 11. Scores are based upon comparing results for three years to a regional average.
