Seneca Valley School District is a participant of the PA-Educator.net Clearinghouse. Applications may be submitted on-line to www.pa-educator.net Individuals may make their applications available to as many districts as they choose. Follow the directions on the PA-Educator website. Support Staff

Applications for regular employment and substitutes needs are available on an ongoing basis. When vacancies occur, they are announced on our Employment Hot Line. Applications may be obtained in the Central Office Administration Building or by calling our Employment Hot Line. Currently the School District compensates substitutes as follows:

Secretaries - $8.03 / hour

Custodian / Maintenance - $9.40 / hour

Paraprofessionals - $7.15 / hour

Applications for both cafeteria regular employment and substitute opportunities are available by calling the Food Service Director at (724) 452-6040, ext. 106 or ext. 118.

Substitute Teachers and Substitute School Nurses

Here is an opportunity to have a positive impact on children, earn extra money, and have a flexible work schedule!

The Seneca Valley School District is interested in finding qualified personnel to work as substitute teachers to replace regular classroom teachers during training and/or leave time. Compensation is $75/day.

What you need:

  • Completed District application packet including copy of PA Teaching Certificate in any content area (i.e., English, Mathematics, Chemistry, etc.) from an accredited college or university.
  • Official college transcript(s)
  • Clearances (Act 34 -criminal history, Act 114 - FBI Fingerprinting, and Act 151 - child abuse check)
  • Resume
  • Three letters of reference
  • Tuberculin Test Results (less than 2 years old)
  • Employment Eligibility Verification (Form I-9) including two (2) forms of ID  (this form is included in your packet )
  • If you do not hold a teaching certificate but possess a bachelor’s degree from an accredited college/university, you need to successfully complete a two-day training program at the Midwestern Intermediate Unit to receive an emergency certificate. During the training, you will visit actual classrooms, learn techniques for classroom management, and review effective teaching strategies. Training will be conducted at:
    Midwestern Intermediate Unit,
    453 Maple Street, Grove City, PA.

Those who successfully complete the review process and the training program (if necessary) will qualify to substitute in the Seneca Valley School District. EOE

Part-Time School Police / Security

Seneca Valley is seeking applicants for the position of part-time school police. This position predominantly involves coverage of evening and weekend school events and has a salary of $12.90/hr. Applicants must possess ACT 34, 114 & 151 clearances and First Aid/CPR/AED training. Prior police, security experience or training is preferred.
